Why wont my pre order download ps4

Like the title i will pre-order God of war and read somewhere that you can start downloading the day before but nobody confirmed it and couldn't find any other thread about it. When I download from my phone to the PS4 it always works. But when I pre order a game it never auto downloads. My problem usually is that I actually have to manually start the download, even if it says it will auto-download. Also, if there is a day one patch, I actually have to be logged in to have it update.
